An unconventional route
Melissa began with a degree in Mathematics and Physics, a life of logic, before trading equations for the open sea.
For more than fifteen years she worked as an executive chef aboard private superyachts. The role took her to over a hundred countries: Mediterranean coastlines, hidden islands and harbours few people ever see. Those years, spent among the world's cultures, architecture and craftsmanship, shaped the eye behind every PHAIR collection.
Where it began
The clothes began almost by accident. Rarely near a high street, Melissa started having pieces made wherever she landed: shoes in Morocco, trousers in India, tailoring in Vietnam.
Strangers would stop her to ask where she'd found what she was wearing. The answer was always the same. She had designed it herself. PHAIR grew out of those conversations.
Today every piece is designed by Melissa, with select pieces now handmade in our atelier in Dubai.
Luxury has never meant excess. It is thoughtful design, beautiful craftsmanship and the confidence of wearing something that feels unmistakably you.
